Platanakia in Panorama
Shortly distance after Panorama area, heading towards Chortiatis, discreet signs lead to Platanakia. It is a piece of nature with towering centuries-old trees and a surprising wetland.
A forest full of streams, open spaces and a path that leads to the Thermi dam, if someone wants to hike in nature. It is the Vathylakko Stream, between Panorama and Thermi, an unknown habitat to many with an interesting 9.3-kilometer route for ecotourism enthusiasts.
In Platanakia, in addition to the vegetation, there is also a restaurant-bar, a small zoo, a playground, as well as a place for a traditional picnic in the forest. A beautiful escape, just a few minutes from the city center.
